Use this document to create a chart from an analysis table.
Before You Start
- You have added data to a project.
- You have processed the data in an analysis table.
- The analysis table contains at least one dimension field and one measure field.
What Charts Do
Charts help you turn analysis results into visual information. You can use charts to compare values, identify trends, and present key findings in dashboards.
Creating a Chart
- Open the analysis table.
- Click + on the toolbar.
- Select Chart.
- Enter the chart editing page.
- Select a chart type.
- Drag fields to the required field areas.
- Check the chart preview.
- Save the chart.

Creating a Column Chart
The following example creates a column chart that shows total sales amount by brand.
- Select Column Chart as the chart type.
- Drag Brand Description to the dimension area.
- Drag Sales Amount to the measure area.
- Check whether the chart shows the total sales amount for each brand.
- Rename the chart if needed.
- Save the chart.

Choosing a Chart Type
Choose a chart type based on the question that you want to answer.

Result
After you save the chart, you can add it to a dashboard or continue creating more charts from the same analysis table.
