What a Project Is
A project is the main container for analysis work in FineBI Next. You can use a project to organize data tables, analysis tables, charts, dashboards, and storyboards for a specific business question or analysis goal.
All analysis work is completed in a project.
Adding Data to a Project
If you uploaded an Excel file directly from a project, the uploaded data is already available in the project.
If you uploaded data from Data Connection, add the data to a project before you start analysis.
- Open the target space.
- Create or open a project.
- Add the connected data table to the project.

- Filtering records.
- Grouping and summarizing data.
- Merging tables.
- Splitting fields.
